A half circle accent table with sweeping legs and a waterfall down the legs made from solid cherry wood.  The legs are made of three separate pieces of Cherry laminated together and were hand formed using a Nicholson #49 and #50 rasp.  The top of the leg has an open mortise and tenon that attaches to three pieces of laminated cherry with the grain pattern perpendicular to add strength to the leg.  The legs are glued to the 1.125 inch thick top via a mortise joint.  The front of the table top was beveled and then hand formed using a Nicholson #49 and 50 rasp to ease the edge and make the table top look lighter and thinner but allow it to keeps its strength.  The table was sanded to 1000 grit and finish with a tung oil based varnish dilute with mineral spirits.
