This was more a repair than a new project. I made this frame for my SO's landscape she was working on. She finished it and we hung it. Neither of us liked the frame design. I made it out of Mahogany but inlaid pine covering way too much of the frame. I did that because I happened to have the pine already cut and was up against a deadline. Anyway I cut off the inlay and added an additional outer frame out of the same piece of Mahogany. I joined two short pieces with some Spalted Maple. I think this time around it came out much better! This will possibly go in a show/sale later this year and I am thinking this could be the centerpiece.
